N5 · Lesson 56

Even More Moving and Doing

Action verbs, round three: はく is the put-on verb for your lower half, so Mimi's black shoes and skirts finally get worn properly — and ぬぐ takes them off again at the door, where she slips the key in (さす). The bus stops at the traffic light (止まる), doors close on their own (しまる, the partner of last lesson's しめる), Pochi runs in the garden, birds fly, she climbs the stairs, sits down, and shows her friend her notebook. No new grammar this time — all 50 patterns are already out in the wild, so this lesson just practices them on new words.

Listen first

8:22 · Mimi's voice. Listen once through before reading anything — ears first, eyes second.
